Greenwashing im Personenbeförderungsrecht? Klimaschutz und Nachhaltigkeit als neue Zielsetzungen
Hochwasser in Süddeutschland im Frühsommer 2024, Sturzfluten in Spanien im Herbst 2024, eine außergewöhnliche Dürre in Europa im Jahr 2022 und eine Erderwärmung bezogen auf Europa von 2,2 °C im Fünfjahresdurchschnitt zeigen: Die Klimakrise ist längst in Deutschland und Europa angekommen.
Section 1a of the Passenger Transport Act (PBefG) was newly included in the 2021 Act on the Modernisation of Passenger Transport Law. The previous objective of the law in terms of hazard prevention was supplemented: It was added that the objectives of climate protection and sustainability must be taken into account when applying the law. Despite the fact that the standard has now been in existence for several years, many questions remain unanswered as to what exactly is meant by the standard. This article aims to provide clarification.
